In April 2022, An illegal wildlife smuggling attempt was intercepted coming into Sumatra. A total of 1,301 victims of the exotic pet trade in just this one attempt. Authorities entrusted the animals, which included infant marmoset monkeys from South America, into the care of Ellis Park Wildlife Sanctuary.
Natalie's 'Marmoset' artwork was inspired by one of the marmoset monkeys rescued.
